Hello, my friend, I’m Dr. Charlene. (EdD not MD )

If you are a Christian woman who is sick and tired of struggling from time to time with self-doubt, you and I have something in common.

LOOK, we are not perfect, so being confident 100% of the time is almost impossible. We will always have that little voice in the back of our minds telling us we can’t.

BUT I believe that with God’s help, we can get to the point where we are strong enough to silence that negative voice; so, we can gain the CONFIDENCE we need to lead a SUCCESSFUL life in Christ.

Would you be ecstatic if you could overcome self-doubt, be fearless and less anxious and believe what God says about you so you could develop the self-confidence you need to be successful AND live without fear?

The struggle is real, but fortunately help is available on this blog.

Here, I share what I have learned from my real-life experience as a Christian woman on my journey toward being successful.  I share the tips and strategies I have learned from the Bible and other books, articles, videos, etc., that have helped me to become more confident. I will also share some of the mistakes I have made and what I have learned from them, so you don’t make the same mistakes I did.

WHY READ MY BLOG?

I have held many positions in both the religious and secular sectors that include leader, healthcare provider, educator, leadership coach, speaker, trainer, author, and website creator (hobby).

I have held the roles of wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, volunteer, and much more.

I have been a victim of abuse, bullying and lies, and have been taken advantage of.

But I have also been loved unconditionally, cared for immensely, appreciated for who I am, comforted during painful and challenging times in my life, and have been given many opportunities to be successful.

You see, my entire journey as a Christian woman has been filled with peaks and valleys. But with GOD’S HELP, and the use of learned strategies and actions I have taken over a number of years, my confidence has been more consistent and has helped me to live a successful life.

But let me be honest with you my friend. It wasn’t always like this.

During my earlier years, I had no idea how to maintain my confidence. I thought I could do it through the friendships I formed. I even thought I could maintain my confidence by reading self-help books or from the warm, fuzzy feeling I got when I helped people. Instead, I found myself less confident and less secure in who God wanted me to be.

The churches I attended during those early years offered no help because the women there were also searching for the same thing I was looking for.

Now, if all this sounds familiar to you, then we are more like sisters than we are strangers, because I totally understand. I get it.

Honestly, during those times I lacked the confidence I needed to consistently set appropriate boundaries, speak up for myself, and live on purpose for God.

Because those experiences have charted a clear path for me, I can now serve as your mentor and guide, and provide you with the resources you will need to become the confident, successful Christian woman, I know you are.

YES, I want you to use my shared experiences, thoughts, and ideas as a light on the path of your journey to becoming more confident and be the successful Christian woman God has created you to be.

The posts on this blog may be long or short, but they will serve the same purpose—to add value to your journey.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Remember, you are fearfully and wonderfully made!

Dr. Charlene

This is me running my first half-marathon. Yes, I felt like I was going to die, but I didn’t?.

I never in my wildest dreams thought I would have done anything like this but with the encouragement of a good friend I completed the full 13.1 miles. Some time after, I ran two other half-marathons and I am looking forward to running a fourth in the near future.

Look, if I did it so can you!

This picture is a bit grainy but it means so much to me. This is the day I received my doctoral degree. For years, I thought about getting this degree, and finally took the leap in 2016 and completed it in 2018. For me, thought led to planning, which ultimately led to me taking action.

If you don’t know what you really want out of life, spend time thinking about it, develop a plan, and then take ACTION! I am proof that with Christ you can do all things!

Relaxing at my favorite place…the beach!

We all need time to relax, unwind, and regroup. Neglecting this time for yourself can have dire consequences.

I try to take time to relax every quarter, even if it is just for a couple days. I find that helps me to think and process things better.

Now it’s your turn. Set aside time in your busy schedule to relax, unwind, and regroup.

You won’t regret it!
